And how it all came about.
We first got acquainted with Black Seal Rum, and the ubiquitous Dark'n Stormy on a wild and windy October night in Hamilton, Bermuda. Number one Front Shed was packed for the World Rugby Classic. A friendly Bermudian pressed a muddy brown drink into our hands saying "Um um um, try this, its a Dark'n Stormy". It slipped down very smoothly indeed. Number one was followed very swiftly by number two then numbers three, four, five and six.
Having returned to the UK and keen to make acquaintance again with the black nectar, we looked around the UK. To our horror we found a complete lack of market presence of Black Seal. Having survived on the occasional delivery from friends, we realised a permanent solution was required, and we arranged our own source of Black Seal.
This supply is now available to the UK public, from people who know and love Bermuda, the people, the lifestyle and most importantly the RUM.
